I am a native Montanan who loves design. Creating new out of old, using Things Found, and marking special memories by making ‘Momentos’ into pieces that can be worn close to your heart.

One of my favorite past times is scouring Montana lake beaches for that perfect stone. I decided to try to start using these treasures in jewelry so I could hold on to the memories of my trips longer.

The mix of an organic stone and metal has been my favorite look for my go-to jewelry pieces. It’s been a joy to create these pieces and has become the heart of Heartisan Design.

I’m drawn to design that is ‘imperfectly perfect’ or has a tension of differing materials set together.

That’s when design, in my opinion, stands out and stands the test of time. It becomes who you are. I think we are all a mix of style. When we lean into that, a beautiful picture starts to form because our true heart emerges.
